KANSAS CITY, Mo. - The National Association of Intercollegiate
Athletics (NAIA) has officially released the Men's Soccer National
Championship qualifiers for the 51st Annual event. Hosted by 15
different schools, the National Championship Opening Round takes place
on Nov. 21. The winners of the National Championship Opening Round
games, as well as host school Fresno Pacific (Calif.), will advance to
the National Championship final site from Nov. 30 - Dec. 5 in Fresno,
Calif.

This year's 31 teams include 24 automatic qualifiers (conferences/independent/unaffiliated champions), six at-large bids and the host school, Fresno Pacific.
Simon Fraser (B.C.) is making its 22nd appearance, the most of any active school and holds the most wins (37). Lindsey Wilson (Ky.) advances to its 16th straight National Championship, the longest active stretch. There are eight schools that have qualified for the first time in school history. Four other schools are searching for their first National Championship victory.
Defending national champion Bethel (Tenn.) comes into the postseason with a 14-1-3 overall record. The Wildcats had their 31-game unbeaten streak snapped in the TranSouth Athletic Conference Tournament Championship against Martin Methodist (Tenn.). There are four schools that own an undefeated mark heading into the National Championship, including Ashford (Iowa) (19-0-2), Bethel (Ind.) (18-0-1), Maine-Fort Kent (16-0-1) and Texas at Brownsville (17-0-1).
Six of the current teams hold at least one National Championship title with Lindsey Wilson boasting six. There has been a different national champion in each of the last seven events.
