(Asheville, NC) The Appalachian Athletic Conference (AAC) announced today the current standings of the Duard Walker All-Sports Trophy competition with the completion of the fall sports championship tournaments/meets. Scoring for the sports of men's and women's cross country, men's and women's soccer, and women's volleyball are included. Bryan College (TN) leads the scoring with 330 points, followed by Milligan College (TN) with 290 points, Union College (KY) with 255 points, and Montreat College (NC) with 170 points.

The Duard Walker All-Sports Trophy was established in 1999 as a way of recognizing member institutions with the most successful all-around sports program for the year. Member colleges compete in fifteen sports: baseball, basketball, cross-country, golf, soccer, track and field, and tennis for men; and, basketball, cross-country, golf, soccer, softball, tennis, track and field and volleyball for women. Points are awarded based on team place finish in the sport regular season and Conference Championship Tournaments/Meets.
The AAC, an affiliated conference within the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA), consists of ten colleges and universities in Tennessee, Virginia, Georgia, Kentucky, and North Carolina. Member institutions include: Bluefield College, Bryan College, Covenant College, Milligan College, Montreat College, Reinhardt College, Tennessee Wesleyan College, Union College (KY), The University of Virginia's College at Wise, and Virginia Intermont College.
