Bluefield,
VA-- The Bluefield College men's basketball team may not have won the
Appalachian Athletic Conference (AAC) Tournament to qualify for the
National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) National
Tournament, but the Rams are still vying for a championship title with
the National Christian College Athletic Association (NCCAA).Bluefield
College will begin play in the NCCAA Mid-East Regional Tournament on
Thursday, March 11. As the three seed in the five-team regional
tournament, BC (16-15) will host Covenant College (3-21) of Georgia in
the Dome at 6 p.m.
If the Rams win the Covenant match-up on Thursday, they advance to play
King College (21-4) of Tennessee, Friday, March 12 at King, who holds
the number one seed in the NCCAA Mid-East Region.
In other NCCAA Mid-East Regional play, Mid-Continent University (20-12)
of Kentucky will host Tennessee Temple University (14-14) on Thursday.
The winner of that game advances to play either Bluefield, Covenant or
King for the NCCAA Mid-East Regional Championship, Saturday, March 13.
