BARBOURVILLE, Ky. - Senior shortstop Ryan Satterlee extended his hit streak in a big way, belting a two-run home run in the third inning as Union defeated visiting Georgetown (Ky.) 10-6 Wednesday.

Satterlee (Youngstown, Ohio) now is the sole owner of the program record for consecutive games with a hit, collecting base hits in the last 22 games. He surpasses Kenny Kysar's 2007 mark of 21 games.

During the streak, Satterlee is batting .447 with 34 hits, two home runs, three triples, eight doubles and 18 RBIs. He has 34 total hits, scored 32 times and boasts a .516 on-base percentage and .711 slugging percentage.

Satterlee finished the game 2-for-5 with two RBIs and a run scored, while Brandon Hedrick (Corbin, Ky.) went 3-for-5 with four RBIs. Donnie Popham (Louisville, Ky.) was 1-for-1 with a run driven in, and Jonathan Riddle (Eighty Eight, Ky.) lined three hits in four at bats.

The win improves Union to 26-9 overall, while Georgetown drops to 17-21.

The Bulldogs return to action Saturday when they host Virginia Intermont in an Appalachian Athletic Conference doubleheader. First pitch is set for 1 p.m.
