KINGSPORT, Tenn. - Tennessee Wesleyan captured the 2010 Appalachian Athletic Conference Baseball Tournament championship with a 20-3 victory over Bluefield (Va.) Wednesday.

With the win, the Bulldogs improve to 41-15 overall and receive an automatic berth to the NAIA National Championship Opening Round.

Bluefield is now 38-14 on the season.

Tennessee Wesleyan set the tone for the game with an eight-run first inning. Max Loveland got the scoring going with a three-run home run to left field.

In all, the Bulldogs belted three home runs with Cody Gaskill and Rafael Carlot also going yard.

Loveland led the team with four RBIs in going 3-for-5 with three runs scored, while Ryan Santos and Johnny Smith each went 4-for-7 with three runs scored. Carlot finished with three RBIs as did David Lindsay.

All nine starters had at least one hit in the game as Tennessee Wesleyan finished with 21.
