Commissioner John Sullivan announced today that the AAC has signed a four-year Softball Adoption Agreement with Worth making it the official softball of the AAC. Worth is currently the official softball of the NAIA.
The agreement between the Appalachian Athletic Conference and the Worth Team Sports Division of Rawlings and Jarden Team Sports will be effective beginning September 1, 2010 and running through August 31, 2013. The terms of the agreement call for Worth to supply game balls yearly for the Conference Tournament and practice balls to each of the AAC member schools that sponsor softball. Coaches may also receive discounts on bats, bags, batting gloves and helmets through their local Worth representative.
