ASHEVILLE, N.C. - Union (Ky.) College is favored to repeat as the Appalachian Athletic Conference champions in women's soccer, according to the AAC Preseason Coaches' Poll released Monday.

Union garnered six of the possible seven first-place votes for a total of 48 points. Last season, Union won both the regular-season and tournament conference titles, marking the first time it had won both in the same year.

Milligan (Tenn.) College received the remaining first-place vote and is predicted to finish second with 39 total points. Bryan (Tenn.) College, which advanced to the AAC Tournament championship match in 2009, is third with 37 points. Reinhardt (Ga.) University is fourth with 26 points.

Rounding out the poll are Tennessee Wesleyan College in fifth (23 points), Montreat (N.C.) College in sixth (12 points) and Bluefield (Va.) College in seventh (11 points).

The AAC Tournament opening round matches will be held at the higher seeds' home site on Saturday, Nov. 6. The regular-season champion and No. 1 seed will host the semifinal and championship matches on Nov. 12-13.
