
BLACK MOUNTAIN, N.C. - Bryan (Tenn.) captured its second Appalachian Athletic Conference Men's Cross Country Championship in a row Saturday as it posted a meet-best score of 20.
The Lions, who are ranked No. 5 in the latest NAIA Poll, had seven of the top 10 finishers to easily come away with the conference title. Bryson Harper paced Bryan with time of 25:21.69, which was good enough for second place overall.
Austin Ellis of Milligan (Tenn.) was the 2010 AAC Individual Champion as he won the 8K race with a time of 24:53.97.
Rodney Stoker of Bryan was named the 2010 AAC Men's Cross Country Coach of the Year.
In the team competition, Bryan won with 20 points with Milligan taking second with 44. Montreat (N.C.) was third with 87, Union (Ky.) fourth with 123, Tennessee Wesleyan fifth with 137, Reinhardt (Ga.) sixth at 163, and Bluefield (Va.) seventh with 198.
