The Lady Bulldogs of Tennessee Wesleyan and the Lady Buffaloes of Milligan College met in the Appalachian Athletic Conference Tournament finals.

The Lady Bulldogs came out strong knowing they must score first and then play defensively to keep the Lady Buffaloes from scoring to avoid the overtimes and penalty kicks of the previous days.  Milligan suffered a loss of their starting goalie, Heather Crumplen, after only 18 minutes when she made a save and came down the wrong way. Only four minutes later, Rebecca Kent of Tennessee Wesleyan scored the first goal after a ball was passed by Kathleen Kent. The Lady Bulldogs were able to hold the Lady Buffaloes to no goals even when they stepped up the pressure in the last 20 minutes of the game.

Tennessee Wesleyan outshot Milligan 12-1 in the first half and then 7-5 in the second. Cheasley Baxter played in the goal for Tennessee Wesleyan for the full 90:00 minutes making 3 saves. Milligan had a total of 10 saves with Heather Crumplen making 4 and Lauren McInturff had 6.

Tennessee Wesleyan defeated Milligan 1-0 and will move on to the Opening Round of the NAIA National Tournament.
