CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. - The NAIA Men's and Women's Tennis Direct Qualifying Tournaments will get underway Friday in Chattanooga, Tenn., and a pair of Appalachian Athletic Conference squads are the top-seeded teams.

Because there are not six teams in the AAC which compete in the sport, the AAC will compete against other conferences which also do not have enough teams for an automatic berth to the national tournament.

In the men's tennis tournament, the AAC will compete against five squads from the Mid-South Conference. Union (Ky.) is the No. 1 seed.
