Galbraith, Satterlee reach milestones in DH sweep

A pair of Union (Ky.) College seniors reached a couple of milestones during the doubleheader sweep of visiting Lindsey Wilson (Ky.) College on Tuesday. Outfielder Tim Galbraith (Hamilton, Ohio) stole his 16th base of the season, giving him 100 stolen bases for his career - making him the first player in program history to reach that plateau.

Second baseman Erin Satterlee (Youngstown, Ohio) tied the school record for most consecutive hits as he singled in the first inning of the opener, giving him seven hits in a row.

On Saturday, Satterlee got a hit in his final at bat in the first game of a doubleheader at King (Tenn.) College before going 5 for 5 in the finale.

Rick White also strung seven hits in a row during the 2002 season.

Satterlee's five hits also tied a school record for most hits in a game. Five others have also had a five-hit game with Galbraith accomplishing the feat earlier in the season during a 17-6 win against University of the Cumberlands on Feb. 16.

Union continued its dominance at home as it swept Lindsey Wilson 7-4 and 10-5. With the sweep, the eighth-ranked Bulldogs are now 17-0 at Jerry W. Carey Stadium and improved to 22-4 overall. Lindsey Wilson had its four-game win streak snapped, dropping to 8-10 on the year.
