The Eagles' Zach Lindsey was the lone AAC men's golfer to be chosen to the GCAA All-South Region Team.

WALESKA, Ga. -- Reinhardt University men's golfer Zach Lindsey was recently selected to the 2012 NAIA PING All-South Region Team by the Golf Coaches Association of America. Last year, Lindsey was also named to the GCAA all-region squad and was chosen as a Second Team All-American. In 2011, he was also honored as a First Team All-American by the NAIA.

 

 Lindsey, a 6-foot-3, 160-pound rising senior from Kennesaw, Ga., was one of 15 players to be placed on the All-South Region Team and the only one from the AAC. A total of 34 golfers were on the All-American teams, including 11 on the first team, 10 on the second team and 13 on the third team.

An All-Appalachian Athletic Conference selection the past three seasons, Lindsey earned an-large berth to the NAIA Men's Golf National Championships for the second consecutive year in 2012. Over 11 tournaments and 25 rounds, he concluded the 2011-12 campaign with a 72.32 stroke average, ranking second nationally in the NAIA. Lindsey posted 13 rounds of par or better and had nine top 15 finishes. He was picked to seven all-tournament teams as a junior.
