
ASHEVILLE, N.C. - Madison Justice and Jonathan Watson - both of Union, were named the Appalachian Athletic Conference Men's Soccer Defensive and Offensive Players of the Week, the league announced Monday.
The Bulldog duo helped Union to a 2-0 record last week with wins over Ohio Christian and Huntington (Ind.). Union is now 2-2 on the year.
Justice, a sophomore from Morehead, Ky., gave up just one goal in two matches. Against Ohio Christian, he did not allow a goal in 68 minutes between the pipes, making a save in the 2-0 win. On Saturday against Huntington, Justice went the distance, allowing just a first half goal and made three saves. For the year, has made nine total saves in four starts.

Watson, a sophomore from Kirriemuir, Scotland, netted four goals on the week with two in each contest. Versus Ohio Christian, Watson scored his first goal late in the first half and then his second early in the second half in the 2-0 Bulldog victory. Against Huntington, Watson scored both of his goals in the first half to push Union ahead 3-1 at halftime as the Bulldogs went on to win 4-1.
