ASHEVILLE, N.C. - Paola Gonzalez of Point is the Appalachian Athletic Conference Women's Cross Country Runner of the Week, the league announced Monday.

A junior from Lancaster, Calif., helped lead the Skyhawks to a first-place finish at the North Georgia Technical College Invitational. Gonzalez placed third individually in a field of 72 runners with a time of 22:03.

Point tallied a total of 51 points, 14 fewer than the second-place team.
