ASHEVILLE, N.C. - Matt Amis of Reinhardt and Pedro Alba of Tennessee Wesleyan are the Appalachian Athletic Conference Men's Soccer Offensive and Defensive Players of the Week, the league announced Monday.

Amis helped the Eagles to an 0-1-1 record last week as Reinhardt is now 1-3-2 overall on the year and 0-0 in conference play. Alba helped Tennessee Wesleyan to a 2-2 tie last week. The Bulldogs are now 1-1-2 overall and 0-0 in the AAC.

A sophomore goalkeeper from Sutton, England, Amis played will between the pipes in keeping Reinhardt in both games. He made 15 saves in a 1-1 tie versus Cumberlands (Ky.) as he played all 110 minutes. Against Martin Methodist (Tenn.) he recorded three saves in a 1-0 loss.

A junior midfielder from Destin, Fla., Alba had a goal and an assist in a 2-2 tie against Lee (Tenn.). He set up the game's first goal and later put Tennessee Wesleyan ahead 2-1 in the 20th minute.
