
ASHEVILLE, N.C. - Chelsea Spivey of Milligan is the Appalachian Athletic Conference Volleyball Player of the Week, the league announced Monday.
Milligan went 2-0 last week, improving the Buffaloes overall record to 7-5 and conference mark to 3-0.
The senior setter from Gate City, Va., had a stellar week to help the Buffaloes picked up important conference wins over Union and Montreat. Spivey recorded 83 assists with as she set a new season high each night with 41 and 42 assists, respectively. She averaged 9.2 assists per game to guide the Milligan offense. In addition, she recorded 12 digs and three kills.
On the season, Spivey is averaging 8.64 assists per game.
