ASHEVILLE, N.C. - Brandi Blessing of Virginia Intermont is the Appalachian Athletic Conference Volleyball Player of the Week, the league announced Monday.

This marks the second time this season Blessing has received this honor, earning it back on Sept. 10.

Virginia Intermont went 3-0 last week with conference wins over Bryan, Point and Reinhardt. The Lady Cobras are 9-7 overall and 4-3 in the AAC.

Blessing, a junior outside hitter from Wytheville, Va., recorded 44 kills with a .384 hitting percentage to go along with 63 digs and seven total blocks. Her best match of the week came in a 3-2 win at Bryan as she posted 16 kills, 35 digs and three total blocks.

Blessing leads the conference in kills with a 3.9 kill-per-set average and is fourth in hitting at .271 and fourth in digs per set at 5.1.
