
BRISTOL, Tenn. - Tennessee Wesleyan owns a slim one-stroke lead after the first round of the Fall Appalachian Athletic Conference Tournament on Monday.
The Bulldogs shot a 21-over 305 and are one stroke better than second-place Milligan. Reinhardt is third at 308, while Union (315) and Virginia Intermont (318) are fourth and fifth, respectively.
Making up the rest of the field are St. Andrews in sixth at 321, SCAD-Atlanta in seventh at 323, Bryan in eighth at 326 and Montreat in ninth at 350.
Trevor Banks of Virginia Intermont leads everyone with a three-under 68, while Josh Wheeler of Tennessee Wesleyan and Connor Edwards of Reinhardt are tied in second with an even-par 71. Bryan's Braden Baugh is fourth with a 73, and Milligan's Mitchell Sutton is fifth after firing a 74.
The second and final round will take place Tuesday.
