
ASHEVILLE, N.C. - Richard Kirk of Bryan and Luke Winter of Tennessee Wesleyan are the Appalachian Athletic Conference Men's Soccer Defensive and Offensive Players of the Week, the league announced Monday.
This is Kirk's first conference weekly award this season, while this is Winter's second.
Kirk, a senior from Turriff, Scotland, helped Bryan to a 2-0 record last week with wins over Martin Methodist (Tenn.) and St. Catharine (Ky.). The Lions are 9-1-1 overall and 5-0-1 in conference play.
Kirk anchored the Lion defense as Bryan allowed its opponents only three shots on goal. For the year, Kirk has one goal to his credit.

Winter, a senior from Norwich, England, helped Tennessee Wesleyan to a 4-1 win over Milligan. The Bulldogs are 6-3-2 overall and 4-1 in the AAC.
In the win over Milligan, Winter scored two goals including the game-winner. On the season, Winter leads the Bulldogs with nine goals.
