ASHEVILLE, N.C. - Paige Moore of Union is the Appalachian Athletic Conference Volleyball Player of the Week, the league announced Monday.
Union posted a 3-1 record last week and is now 11-12 overall and 7-3 in conference play.
Moore, a sophomore outside hitter from Louisville, Ky., posted 10-plus kills in all four matches this week, and she nearly had a double-double in sweep of St. Andrews with 10 kills and 9 digs. In addition, Moore hit .323 on the week with 36 kills in 99 total attacks with 10 errors. She posted 15 digs, five service aces and five total blocks as well.
For the season, Moore leads Union with 209 kills and owns a .230 hitting percentage.
