ASHEVILLE, N.C. - Meagan Wright of Milligan and Ryan Gehman of Montreat are the Appalachian Athletic Conference Women's and Men's Cross Country Runners of the Week, the league announced Monday.
This is the second honor this year for Wright and Gehman as both received the award previously on Sept. 24.
Wright, a freshman from Florence, S.C., posted a sixth-place finish at the Sand Shark Invitational. In all, 141 runners competed in the 5K race as Wright recorded a personal best time of 18:41.

Gehman, a sophomore from Millersville, Pa., crossed the line 25th out of 181 runners at the Sand Shark Invitational. He completed the 8K course in a personal best time of 26:20.
