ASHEVILLE, N.C. - Taylor Fink of Bryan is the Appalachian Athletic Conference Volleyball Player of the Week, the league announced Monday.
This is the first Player of the Week honor for Fink this season, but she has earned the Setter of the Week award four times.
Bryan posted a 3-0 record last week, posing three 3-0 sweeps over Reinhardt, Southern Wesleyan (S.C.) and Tennessee Wesleyan.
Fink, a sophomore from Kingsport, Tenn., dished out an impressive 109 assists in just nine sets to lead the Lady Lions to three sweeps on the week. She also had 27 digs, two aces and two total blocks. Fink's best match came against Reinhardt as she recorded 42 assists and 15 digs.
On the year, Fink has 1,114 assists to rank her 24th in the NAIA.
Bryan is 25-9 overall and 13-2 in the AAC.
