The brackets have been set for the Appalachian Athletic Conference Baseball Tournament with Tennessee Wesleyan College and Union College locked in as the No. 1 and No. 2 seeds, respectively.

Tennessee Wesleyan (28-13 overall, 15-3 AAC) and Union (42-12 overall, 14-4 AAC) have battled back and forth for the top spot in the league all season. Union was in first for nearly all season, but it was swept by Montreat (N.C.) College in the next to last weekend of the season to allow Tennessee Wesleyan to grab a one-game lead.
With both teams sweeping their final conference series of the season, Tennessee Wesleyan held on for the regular-season championship.
Brevard (N.C.) College (25-25 overall, 12-6 AAC) is the third seed with Montreat (27-21 overall, 12-6 AAC) coming fourth. UVa-Wise (27-17, 10-8 AAC) is fifth, Milligan (Tenn.) College (18-29 overall, 7-11 AAC) is sixth, Bryan (Tenn.) College (23-24 overall, 7-11 AAC) is seventh and Bluefield (Va.) College (12-25 overall, 6-12 AAC) is eighth.
Only the top eight teams qualified for the tournament, leaving King (Tenn.) College (11-27 overall, 3-11 AAC) and Virginia Intermont College (8-28 overall, 2-14 AAC) on the outside looking in.
The tournament will get underway on Tuesday with No. 5 UVa-Wise taking No. 4 Montreat at 9 a.m., which will be followed by No. 6 Milligan meeting up with No. 3 Brevard at 12:30 p.m. No. 7 Bryan will square off with No. 2 Union at 4 p.m. with No. 8 Bluefield playing No. 1 Tennessee Wesleyan at 7:30 p.m. to round out the first day's schedule.
The double-elimination will continue on Wednesday with the championship game set for Friday at 3 p.m.
The tournament is being held in Johnson City, Tenn., and will be played at Cardinal Park and at Milligan College.
