Union's Bowling sets up 4,000th career assist

BLUEFIELD, Va . - Senior Amanda Bowling continues to go where no Lady Bulldog has gone before as she surpassed the 4,000 career assist plateau on Saturday as Union College took two Appalachian Athletic Conference matches from host Bluefield (Va.) College.
  
Union won the first match 30-19, 30-19 and 30-20 before taking the finale 30-15, 30-27 and 30-21.
 
Bowling (Louisville, Ky.) had 67 assists on the day to give her 4,028 career assists. No other player in Lady Bulldog history has more than 1,500 assists to their cedit.
 
Union (6-4 overall, 3-0 AAC) will head to Bristol, Tenn., to face King College in a conference battle. Game time is set for 6:30 p.m.
