CHATTANOOGA, TN (November 4, 2006)---The Milligan College men’s soccer team defeated Montreat College in double overtime by a score of 1-0 in the Appalachian Athletic Conference (AAC) Tournament final today in Chattanooga to become the 2006 AAC Tournament champions.
David Lilly (Coatbridge, Scotland) scored the game’s only goal in the 108th minute on an assist from Kyle Wilcox (Indianapolis, Ind.) and Said Abdi (Kismaayo, Somalia).
Milligan now looks ahead to the NAIA Region XII Semifinals, to be held at a location yet to be determined on Friday, Nov. 10.
