ASHEVILLE, N.C. - Colt Rasmussen of Asbury University and Kendra Monnin of West Virginia University Institute of Technology are the Appalachian Athletic Conference Men's and Women's Swimming & Diving Swimmers of the Week, the league announced Monday.

This is the eighth edition of the weekly honors for the 2016 season. The next set of awards will be announced on Feb. 6.

AAC Men's Swimmer/Diver of the Week

Colt Rasmussen - Asbury - Soph. - Jamestown, N.D.

  • Won three individual events at a dual meet vs. Centre (Ky.) - the 100 and 200 Freestyle and the 200 Freestyle Relay.
  • Posted a time of 48.91 seconds in the 100 Freestyle.
  • Recorded the win the 200 Freestyle with a time of 1:47.87.
  • This is his first weekly honor this season.


AAC Women's Swimmer/Diver of the Week

Kendra Monnin - WVU Tech - Jr. - Knoxville, Tenn.

  • Won three events in a meet vs. Union (Ky.) - the 200 Breaststroke and 400 IM and 200 Medley Relay.
  • Recorded time of 2:34.73 in the 200 Breaststroke.
  • Finished the 400 IM in 5:02.64.
  • This is her first weekly award this season.
