ASHEVILLE, N.C. - Enrique Zamora of Reinhardt University and Jose Reyes of Point Univesity are the Appalachian Athletic Conference Baseball Pitcher and Player of the Week award winners, the league announced Monday.

This is the seventh edition of the weekly honors for the 2017 season. The next set of awards will be announced on April 24.

AAC Pitcher of the Week

Enrique Zamora - Reinhardt - Sr. - Hammond, Ind.

  • Struck out 10 batters in a 1-0 win over No. 6 Tennessee Wesleyan.
  • Allowed only 4 hits and no walks in 6 2/3 innings pitched.
  • This is his first weekly honor this season.

AAC Player of the Week

Jose Reyes - Point - Sr. - Santo Domingo, D.R.

  • Batted .500 with 1 home run and 4 RBIs.
  • Scored 4 runs on the week.
  • Had 3 doubles and posted a 0.875 slugging percentage.
  • This is his first weekly award this season.
