ASHEVILLE, N.C. - Maci Mills of Reinhardt University and Olivia Gore of Bryan College are the Appalachian Athletic Conference Softball Pitcher and Player of the Week, the league announced Monday.

This is the seventh edition of the weekly honors for the 2017 season. The next set of awards will be announced on April 24.

AAC Pitcher of the Week

Maci Mills - Reinhardt - Sr. - Georgia

  • Went 3-0 with a 1.84 ERA on the week in the circle.
  • Allowed 3 hits and 3 walks with 4 strikeouts in a 5-0 win over Truett McConnell.
  • Recorded 18 strikeouts on the week.
  • This is her first weekly honor this season.


AAC Player of the Week

Olivia Gore - Bryan - Sr. - Cookeville, Tenn.

  • Batted .429 with 5 RBIs.
  • Delivered the game-winning, walkoff hit in a 4-3 win over Montreat.
  • Had 1 double and 1 triple.
  • This is her first weekly award this season.
