ASHEVILLE, N.C. - 11 Appalachian Athletic Conference (AAC) members registered points in the final NAIA Learfield Sports Directors' Cup standings with six landing in the top 100.
Milligan led the way with a 39th-place finish with 392.5 points, while Union was next in line at No. 52 with 316 points. Rounding out the top six are Reinhardt (54th place, 311 points), SCAD Atlanta (82nd place, 203 points, Tennessee Wesleyan (90th place, 172 points), and St. Andrews (98th place, 142 points).
Also representing the AAC are: Bryan (138th place, 87.5 points), Truett McConnell (146th place, 74 points), Columbia (148th place, 66 points), Point (191st place, 24 points), and Montreat (193rd place, 21 points).
Points are scored in 23 championship sports - men's and women's cross country, women's volleyball, men's and women's soccer, football, men's and women's swimming, men's and women's basketball, men's and women's indoor track & field, men's wrestling, cheer, dance, men's and women's golf, men's and women's outdoor track & field, men's and women's tennis, baseball, and softball.
