ASHEVILLE, N.C. - Marissa Langford of Milligan is the AAC Volleyball Attacker of the Week, the league announced Monday. Also honored were Alyssa Rupert of Milligan and Kellee Geren of Milligan as the Defender and Setter of the Week, respectively.

This is the first edition of the weekly honors for the 2017 season. The next set of awards will be announced on Sept. 4

AAC Attacker of the Week

Marissa Langford - Milligan - Sr. - Cleveland, Tenn.

  • Posted 59 kills and 44 digs in 4 matches played.
  • Had 3 double-doubles.
  • Posted a high of 19 kills vs. Middle Georgia State.
  • Notched 8 total blocks.
  • This is her first weekly honor this season.

AAC Defender of the Week

Alyssa Rupert - Milligan - Jr. - Kingsport, Tenn.

  • Averaged 5.67 digs per set with 85 in 15 sets.
  • Posted a high of 26 digs against Middle Georgia State.
  • Served up 4 aces.
  • This is her first weekly honor this season.

AAC Setter Player of the Week

Kelle Geren - Milligan - Soph. - Cleveland, Tenn.

  • Registered 149 assists on the week.
  • Averaged 9.93 assists per set.
  • Had 2 double-doubles.
  • Posted 33 digs and 5 total blocks.
  • This is her first weekly award this season.
