ASHEVILLE, N.C. - Rachel Andrews of Union is the Appalachian Athletic Conference (AAC) Volleyball Attacker of the Week, the league announced Monday. Also honored were Paulina Hileman of Union and Erinn Marroquin of Reinhardt as the Defender and Setter of the Week, respectively.

This is the third edition of the weekly honors for the 2017 season. The next set of awards will be announced on Sept. 18.

AAC Attacker of the Week

Rachel Andrews - Union - Sr. - Louisville, Ky.

  • Posted 50 kills and 12 total blocks in 5 matches played.
  • Had 3 matches with double-digit kills.
  • Posted a .353 hitting percentage.
  • Ranks 12th in the NAIA in hitting percentage at .363.
  • Matched career high in kills with 19 against Shawnee State (Ohio).
  • This is her second weekly honor this season.

AAC Defender of the Week

Paulina Hileman - Union - Sr. - Johnstown, Colo.

  • Averaged 6.11 digs per set with 110 in 18 sets.
  • Posted a high of 35 digs against Shawnee State (Ohio).
  • Served up 3 aces.
  • Collected her 1,000th career dig at Union.
  • Ranks 8th in the NAIA in total digs (285).
  • This is her second weekly honor this season.

AAC Setter Player of the Week

Erinn Marroquin - Reinhardt - Fr. - Prescott, Ariz.

  • Registered 177 assists on the week.
  • Averaged 9.32 assists per set.
  • Registered a high of 41 assists against Mobile (Ala.).
  • Posted 45 digs and 9 aces.
  • This is her first weekly award this season.
