Tennessee Wesleyan was declared the 2007 Appalachian Athletic Conference Champions Saturday after play was suspended in the sixth inning due to rain at Hunter Wright Stadium in Kingsport, Tenn.
Tennessee Wesleyan entered the championship game without a loss, while Montreat College lost 5-4 to Tennessee Wesleyan in the winners' bracket final.
Both teams now move on to the NAIA Region XII Tournament, which will begin Wednesday at Hunter Wright Stadium in Kingsport, Tenn.
