Virginia Intermont hires Assistant Men's Basketball Coach

Louis Collier enters his first season as assistant coach for Virginia Intermont men's basketball team.

Coach Collier is a 1987 graduate of the University of Virginia's College at  Wise where he earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Administration. Before his matriculation at Wise, Collier was a two year member of the Concord University men's basketball team. Coach Collier brings a vast deal of knowledge and over 20 years of coaching experience to the Cobras. Coach Collier will work primarily with the guards but his knowledge and experience will be an asset to every member of the Cobra team.
 
" I am excited to add Coach Collier to the Virginia Intermont College men's basketball team coaching staff. He is a man of great character and integrity. He also possesses a great deal of knowledge of the game of basketball as a player and as a coach. Louis will be a tremendous asset to me and to our program," stated Head Coach, Scott Hoagland.
 
Coach Collier hails from Big Stone Gap, VA. He is married to the former Sandy Ward of Cowen, WV. The Collier's have four chldren; Nathan, Chase, Logan and Mekenzie.
