Record run for Kibert in Wilmington Fall Classic

WILMINGTON, Ohio – Union College senior Brandon Kibert set a new school-record at the 2007 Wilmington Fall Classic with a time of 26 minutes and nine seconds Friday. Two other Bulldogs set new personal best and a new freshman record was set as well.

Kibert (Tazewell, Tenn.) finished 14th in the event as he lowered his personal best by 51 seconds over the 8k course.

Daniel Kual (Stone Mountain, Ga.) was the second Bulldog to cross the finish line at the 27:50 mark in 69th place. Eric Kinman (Erlanger, Ky.) set a freshman record and a personal best with his 27:55 in 72nd place. Brennan O’Quinn (Meadowview, Va.) ran a season-best 28:17 while Cody Miller (Middlesboro, Ky.) finished with a time of 34:53, a personal best.

Union finished 11th with 328 points ahead of NAIA Region XII foe Berea (Ky.) College in 14th with 357 points. Shawnee State (Ohio) University claimed the team championship with 57 points with Otterbein (Ohio) College in second followed by Centre (Ky.) College.

The Bulldogs will participatein the Southeast Classic next Saturday in Nashville, Tenn.
