Tavoloni, UC Lady Bulldogs set records in 18-0 win

Senior Alessandra Tavoloni (Limeria, Brazil) became Union College's all-time career assist leader and the Lady Bulldogs set a program record for most goals in a game on Wednesday as UC defeated visiting Pikeville (Ky.) College 18-0.
 
Tavoloni scored six goals and had three assists in the win, giving her 20 goals and 15 assists on the season. More importantly, the Lady Bulldog forward now has 98 goals and 53 career assists. Second on Union's all-time goals list, Tavoloni surpassed Ana Bruni's mark of 51 career assists to make her the all-time assist leader in Lady Bulldog history.
 
As far as NAIA records go, Tavoloni now ranks sixth all-time in goals (98), 10th in assists (53) and sixth in points (249).
 
The Lady Bulldogs also set a team record for most goals in a game, scoring 18 in the shutout win over Pikeville. The previous record was 17, set against Berea (Ky.) College on September 29, 1998.
 
Union is currently 6-4 overall on the season.
