Bluefield College men (25-7) lost on Thursday to Northwood (25-7, Florida) 88-86.

King College women (21-11) lost on Thursday to Hastings (27-5) 76-41.

The King College men (26-7) lost to Ottawa (23-8, Kansas) 70-65 on Wednesday.

AAC Tournament wrap-up!
In the men's tournament number one seed King defeated Bluefield 78-70 to win the AAC basketball championship. King's Torrington Cox was the MVP.

Union won over top seed King 71-61 in the women's tournament in Bristol, Tennessee today.
Allison Fowler of Union was the women's MVP.

Please note: The webcasts from the AAC tournament have been having intermittent problems. Right now it is broadcasting and if it is not working when you try it, try it again in a few minutes.

The Appalachian Athletic Conference is proud to announce that the 2008 conference basketball tournament will be held at Viking Hall Civic Center in Bristol, Tennessee, February 27th through March 1st.

The tournament is a 20 team (10 Men’s & 10 Women’s), single elimination format.

The first round is set to kick off Wednesday, February 27th with four (4) games beginning at 1:00 PM. An awards ceremony will be held immediately following the second game which begins at 3 PM.

The second round will begin on Thursday, February 28th with eight (8) games beginning at 8:30 AM.

Semifinals will be on Friday, February 29th beginning at 2:00 PM and the championships will be on Saturday, March 1st with the men’s game at 2:00 PM and the women’s game at 4:00 PM.

Game tickets can be purchased at Viking Hall Civic Center for $8.00 regular admission and $5.00 for students with their school ID. Driving directions.
