Brooke Smith Named NAIA Women's Basketball Division II Player of the Week

KANSAS CITY, Mo. - Brooke Smith of Union (Ky.) has been selected as the NAIA Women's Basketball Division II Player of the Week for the week ending Sunday, February. 17, 2008.

Smith, a sophomore forward/center from Pineville, Ky., averaged 24.0 points and 12.0 rebounds in two wins for the Lady Bulldogs last week.  She scored 29 point and cleared 19 rebounds against Virginia Intermont College to record seventh double-double of the season.  Smith also picked up her 100th career block in the win at VIC.  She also added 19 points and eight rebounds against Milligan College.
