Appalachian Athletic Conference Player of the Year and Appalachian Athletic Conference Tournament MVP are just a few awards King College Senior Torrington Cox garnered in the 2007-08 men’s basketball season. And on March 18^th the 6-7 forward from the Bahamas can also add All-American to his list of accomplishments this season. After leading his team to a 26-8 overall record and a regular season AAC title with a 16-2 record, Cox averaged nearly 18 points and nine rebounds a game. The tornado also captured the AAC Tournament title with a 78-70 victory over Bluefield College and a final NAIA Top 25 ranking of 10, the highest thus far in school history. Heading into the NAIA National Tournament the 8^th seeded tornado were upset by the 24 seed Ottawa University Braves 65-70. Cox led King with 18 points and 10 rebounds in the loss.
