LONDON, Ky. - The Union College women's tennis team, ranked 19th nationally, wrapped up the Appalachian Athletic Conference regular-season championship for the third straight season with a 6-0 win against Covenant (Ga.) College on Monday.

Union owns an 8-0 overall record, which includes a 5-0 AAC mark. The Lady Bulldogs have won all 19 conference games since the program was established for the 2006 season. Covenant went to 1-1 in conference play and 4-7 overall after the match.

Juliana Negosek (Curitiba, Brazil) and Yeris Vargas (Merida, Venezuala) only lost one game in their singles' matches en route to the conference-clinching victory. Union also swept all three doubles' matches. In five conference contests, Union did not lose a point to any conference foe.

The Lady Bulldogs will be a part of the Blast Off Classic this weekend at Shorter College. Action starts Friday in Rome, Ga.
