No. 23 Union picks up AAC crown

BRISTOL, Tenn. – No. 23 Union College repeated as the Appalachian Athletic Conference Women's Tennis Tournament champions on Saturday with a 5-1 win against Milligan (Tenn.) College.

This marks the second straight year for the AAC Tournament crowns for the program. Union also went undefeated against AAC teams in the regular season.

The Lady Bulldogs earned a bid for the Region XII Tournament that will start on May 3. Milligan also will participate.

Union, at 11-4 on the season, will play Carson-Newman (Tenn.) College on Friday. The NCAA Division II member visits Barbourville for a 3:30 p.m. match.
