Top-seeded Milligan College defeated Union College twice 3-1 and 7-0 on Friday for
the Appalachian Athletic Conference Tournament championship at the
Whitetop Creek Park Softball Complex.
Earlier in the day, Milligan needed 13 innings to capture a 2-1 win over Montreat (N.C.) College in the losers' bracket final.
FORMAT The Appalachian Athletic Conference Tournament is a 9 team double elimination tournament
SCHEDULE First Round on Wednesday, April 30th with seven (7) games beginning at 9:00 AM, 11:00 AM, 1:00 PM, 3:00 PM, 5:00 PM., 7:00 PM and 9:00 PM.
Second Round on Thursday, May 1st with seven (7) games beginning at 9:00 AM, 11:00 AM, 1:00 PM, 3:00 PM, 5:00 PM, 7:00 PM and 9:00 PM.
Finals on Friday, May 2nd with two (2) games beginning at 12:00 PM, 2:00 PM and the third game if necessary at 4:00 PM.
Saturday, May 3rd will be used as a rain date.
OTHER EVENTS Awards ceremony immediately following the fifth game on Wednesday, April 30th.
TICKETS Game tickets can be purchased at the gate for:
$7.00 for Adult single day
$5.00 for student and children 12 & under single day
5 & under free.
A tournament pass will be available on Wednesday only for $15.

Take exit 69 toward Blountville. You will be on Hwy. 394 which will take you all the way to Whitetop Creek Park.
Go approximately 10 miles, just past the back entrance to the Bristol Motor Speedway (on the left), take the next right onto Sportsway Drive, continue down the drive until you get to the bottom parking lot next to the fields.
If you are staying in a hotel on Volunteer Pkwy., follow Volunteer Pkwy. past the front entrance to Bristol Motor Speedway, take the next left onto Whitetop Rd., this will take you over to Hwy. 394 turn left onto 394, take next right onto Sportsway Drive.
