Union plays on Monday in the NAIA Women's Tennis National Championship

Kansas City, MO. - The National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) has announced its 24-team qualifying field for the 2008 NAIA Women's Tennis National Championship in Mobile, AL.

Union begins play at 9 am against Georgetown, KY.
The entire schedule is now posted.

The tournament, scheduled for May 12-16, will take place at the Mobile Tennis Center. No. 1 Auburn Montgomery (AL) looks to defend its national title in a field of 14 automatic qualifiers and 10 at-large selections.


The official tournament bracket along with match times has been released.

The bracket along with match times will be released May 7 by 5 p.m. (Central). The following is a list of the 24 participating teams in alphabetical order and how each qualified for the national championship.

Auburn University Montgomery (Ala.) - Region XIII Champion
Azusa Pacific University (Calif.) - At-Large #1
Berry College (Ga.) - At-Large #4
Bethany College (Kan.) - Region IV Champion
California Baptist University- At-Large #3
Cumberland University (Tenn.) - At-Large #6

Fresno Pacific University (Calif.) - Region II Champion
