Virginia Intermont adds Volleyball Assistant

The Virginia Intermont athletic department is pleased to announce the recent addition to the volleyball program, Kaena Apana.

Kaena is from Waianae, Hawaii, she attended Taft Junior College for two years and then finished her career and acquired her degree in Interdisciplinary Studies at East Tennessee State University.

While at Taft, Apana collected many accolades such as All-State, Central Valley Conference Most Valuable Player and 2nd team All-American.

As a libero at ETSU she was named First Team All Conference and Defensive Player of the Year. Kaena is excited to begin her coaching career at Virginia Intermont College and she is looking forward to making the volleyball program stronger.
