Virginia Intermont College softball coach, Eric Senter, announced the hiring of Amanda Haverman as his assistant. Haverman hails from Kirkwood, MO where she played softball for Kirkwood High School. While in high school Amanda collected many accolades such as All Conference & All-State.
Haverman continued her education at East Tennessee State University where she once again was a standout for the Lady Bucs softball team. She was named to the 2007 Atlantic Sun All Conference Team, broke the single season RBI record of 37 at ETSU, tied the single game hit record of 4 and was a 2008 pre-season all conference selection. Haverman hit 12 homeruns during her softball career. "I am extremely excited to have Amanda join my staff. She will bring a wealth of knowledge to our team," stated Coach Senter.
