Steeve Gabart, a red-shirt freshman from Miami, Fla., was named AAC male Athlete of the Week. Competing at the Southeastern Classic hosted by Berry College, Gabart, finished fifth overall with a time of 25:17.13. His strong race helped pace Virginia Intermont’s team to a first place finish. Gabart will enter the AAC Championships with the second fastest time in the conference for the season.
