The Tennessee Wesleyan women's golf team won their fourth tournament in a row capturing the title in their own TWC Spring Invitational at Springbrook Golf and Country Club. In the process of completing an undefeated spring season, the team also won the Appalachian Athletic Conference regular season championship.
The Lady Bulldogs shot daily scores of 343 and 349 for a tournament total of 692 to out distance runnerup Montreat College by 31 shots. As has been the case in every tournament this spring, the Wesleyan charge was led by senior Megan Cox who shot an 80 + 84 = 164 amid the cold and snow to be the tournament medalist. Megan was joined on the All Tournament team by Britany Rader who finished third with scores of 85 + 86 = 171 and freshman Natalie Foster who was fourth with a total of 83 + 89 = 172.
The Wesleyan women won the AAC regular season championship by virtue of capturing both the King College fall event and the TWC Spring Invitational. The 72 hole totals for these two events were used to determine the winner of the regular season. The team will next be in action on April 20th & 21st when they participate in the AAC Conference Tournament at the Heatherhurst Brae course in Crossville, Tennessee. The winner of that tournament will advance to the NAIA National Tournament to be played in Rapid City, SD in mid-May.
