Senior Jessica Suttles established a new school record for digs in a season and for a career as host Union College held off Covenant (Ga.) College for a 3-1 Appalachian Athletic Conference win on Tuesday.

The Cincinnati, Ohio native registered 28 digs to give her 455 on the season, surpassing the previous mark of 430 set by Jill Ender in 2002.

For her career, the 5-foot-10 outside hitter has recorded 1,554 digs, besting the old record of 1,480 which was also held by Ender.

Union is 11-16 overall on the season and 8-11 in Appalachian Athletic Conference play. Union's next game is set for Thursday at Milligan (Tenn.) College at 7 p.m.
