
Stowes, a 6-foot-2, 215-pound guard from Alexander City, Ala., spent two seasons at Reinhardt. As a senior in 2007-08, he was an All-Southern States Athletic Conference selection after leading the Eagles in scoring (16.3 points per game), rebounding (6.1 boards a contest) and assists (4.0 per outing). In 2006-07, Stowes averaged 10.8 points, 3.7 rebounds and 1.5 assists.
The brother of NFL football player Terrell Owens, Stowes was part of the American Basketball Association's Atlanta Vision during the 2008-09 season. After graduating from South Gwinnett High School in Snellville, Ga., Stowes also played football -- at North Carolina State University for one season as a wide receiver.
Sacramento's summer league roster includes 13 players from NCAA Division I institutions, one from Israel, and Stowes. Serving as the head coach of the summer league entry is Kings assistant coach Pete Carril, a Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall-of-Fame inductee in 1997. One of Stowes' teammates is Tyreke Evans from the University of Memphis, who was Sacramento's top choice and the No. 4 overall pick in last month's NBA Draft.
The Kings will hold a minicamp in Las Vegas on Wednesday and Thursday before opening their summer league schedule against the Detroit Pistons on Friday. All five of Sacramento's games will be webcast on Kings.com.
