
Union garnered three first-place votes and a total of 34 points. AAC newcomer Reinhardt (Ga.) College and Milligan (Tenn.) College tied for second with 32 points each. Reinhardt received two first place votes and Milligan was given one.
Tennessee Wesleyan College was picked fourth. Bryan (Tenn.) College rounded out the Top-5 with Montreat (N.C.) College and Bluefield (Va.) College sixth and seventh, respectively.
Defending AAC regular-season and tournament champion King (Tenn.) College left the conference to become a provisional NCAA Division II member.
