Virginia Intermont Wins the NAIA Region XII/AAC Men's Cross Country Championship

The Virginia Intermont Cobra Cross-Country team defended their Region XII Championship of a year ago with eight runners in the top-10. The Cobras finished with a perfect score of 15 points, while runner-up Milligan College finished with 89 points.


Running to the individual title was freshman Steeve Gabart (Miami, Florida) in a time of 25:24.47 on the 8,000meter course.

The final race of the 2005 Cross-Country season will be the NAIA National Championships, November 19th, in Louisville, Kentucky, where the Cobras will be running to defend their 2004 National Championship.
